Special Situations, Allergies, Etc.
Families are expected to notify us regarding children’s food and environmental allergies. Families of children with diagnosed allergies are required to provide us with a letter from the doctor detailing the child’s symptoms, reactions, treatments and care. A list of the child’s allergies will be posted in the classroom, kitchen, and any other necessary areas. Refer to medical requirements for additional information.

Food from Home
At Step by Step we follow USDA food safety guidelines in accordance with CACFP. These guidelines do not permit food from home to be brought to the school. Food from home can be very disruptive to the other children and classrooms. There may also be children with allergies you’re in danger that you are not aware of. Parent/family activities may include sharing of food and products.
